NIC Faisalabad Hosts Virtual Panel on Scaling AgriTech Ventures in Pakistan

Published on

NIC Faisalabad is set to host a virtual panel discussion titled From Farm Problem to Scalable Venture, bringing together founders working across Pakistan’s AgriTech sector to explore what it actually takes to build agriculture focused startups within the country. The session, scheduled for the eighteenth of August, twenty twenty six, will run from five in the evening until six, and has been framed around the idea that Pakistan’s agriculture sector needs solutions grounded in real, practical problems alongside ventures capable of scaling those solutions commercially.

The panel will feature Muzaffar Manghi, Co-founder of Farmdar, Fuad Imran Khan, who serves as Chief Marketing Officer at Concave AGRI, and Ghasharib Shoukat, Chief Executive Officer of Zarai Mandi, bringing together three founders with direct experience building AgriTech ventures across different segments of Pakistan’s agricultural technology landscape. Their combined backgrounds span areas including remote sensing and farm data, agricultural input and advisory services, and market access solutions connecting farmers with buyers, giving the discussion a range of perspectives on the sector’s challenges and opportunities.

Organisers have outlined several specific themes the conversation is expected to cover, including farmer adoption of new technology, market access for agricultural startups, startup funding within the AgriTech space, strategic partnerships between ventures and larger agricultural players, sustainable business model design, and the practical journey startups go through moving from an early pilot stage toward full commercial scale. These themes reflect some of the most persistent challenges faced by AgriTech founders in Pakistan, where adoption among farmers and access to funding have historically remained more difficult compared to other technology sectors.

NIC Faisalabad’s decision to focus this session specifically on AgriTech reflects the incubator’s continued engagement with agriculture as a sector, given Faisalabad’s position as one of Pakistan’s major agricultural and industrial hubs. The event is being supported by Ministry Of IT and Telecommunication and Ignite National Technology Fund, alongside acknowledgements of FFC, Concave AGRI, Cybervision International, GroundUp, and other organisations associated with the panel’s broader sponsorship network.

The virtual format of the session is expected to allow wider participation from founders, investors, and stakeholders across Pakistan who are working on or interested in agricultural technology, without requiring physical attendance at a specific location. Those interested in joining the discussion can register through the link shared as part of the announcement at https://lnkd.in/dbGf-W8T, with organisers directly inviting anyone building for Pakistan’s agriculture sector to take part in the conversation.
