NIC Hyderabad Holds Interactive Tameer Awards Awareness Session for Founders

Published on

NIC Hyderabad hosted an engaging and highly interactive Tameer Awards 2026 Awareness Session with Imran Azeem, Program Manager for Training and Development at Wafi Energy, giving founders and aspiring applicants a closer look at what the awards involve beyond a general introduction. The session moved past simply describing the opportunity, instead giving participants a working understanding of how to actually approach an application.

Participants got the opportunity to understand the application process in detail, explore what makes a strong application, ask questions, and get clarity on how to approach the opportunity overall. This kind of practical, question driven format allowed attendees to address their own specific uncertainties rather than working purely from generic guidance, giving the session a more tailored feel for those actively considering whether and how to apply.

With an open exchange of questions, ideas, and insights, the session helped turn curiosity into a clearer roadmap for aspiring applicants. This shift, from general interest toward a concrete plan of action, reflects the core purpose of an awareness session of this kind, where the goal is not simply to inform but to equip participants with enough clarity to move forward confidently.

Azeem’s role at Wafi Energy, the organisation that has run the Tameer Awards programme for more than two decades, gave him direct insight into what the selection process actually looks for, allowing him to speak specifically to the qualities and details that distinguish a stronger submission from a weaker one. This kind of insider perspective is often more valuable to applicants than generic advice about grant writing or application preparation.

The session was supported by Ministry Of IT and Telecommunication, Ignite National Technology Fund, PTCL, LMKT, and Tech Destination Pakistan, reflecting the institutional network tied to NIC Hyderabad’s ongoing programming. With the awareness session now complete, NIC Hyderabad’s founders are expected to move forward with submitting their own applications, applying the clarity gained through the session’s direct engagement with Azeem.
