NIC Hyderabad Hosts Behind the Payment Session With Swich on October 8

Published on

When a customer sees a Pay Now button, what happens after they click it is a whole system of gateways, integrations, transaction flows and moving money, and NIC Hyderabad is taking founders inside that system with its upcoming session, Behind the Payment, scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at NIC Hyderabad. The session is built to break down how digital payments actually work, how the different technical and financial pieces connect, and what it takes to build payment experiences that function reliably at scale rather than just in a controlled demo.

Leading the session is Muhammad Ali, Senior Manager of Growth and Partnership at Swich, who will unpack the payment ecosystem and share practical insights founders can apply directly to their own products and businesses. For founders building anything that involves taking payment from a customer, a clear understanding of how transactions actually move through gateways and integrations behind the scenes can help them avoid costly technical or operational mistakes once their product starts processing real transactions at volume.

Payments infrastructure is an area that many early-stage founders tend to treat as a solved problem, simply plugging in a third-party gateway without fully understanding the mechanics underneath, until something breaks or scales poorly. By walking through the full path a payment takes, from the initial click to the money actually landing where it needs to go, Ali’s session aims to give founders a more complete mental model of a system that directly affects their revenue and customer trust.

Interested founders can register ahead of Thursday’s session, which continues NIC Hyderabad’s pattern of bringing in specialized industry speakers to address specific technical and operational gaps that founders often don’t encounter until they are already deep into building their product. The event is supported by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, Ignite National Technology Fund, PTCL, LMKT and Tech Destination Pakistan.
