NIC Hyderabad Hosts CSSP Team for Entrepreneurship Outreach Session

Published on

NIC Hyderabad was pleased to welcome the team from Civil Society Support Program to the incubation center for an outreach session focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. The visit gave CSSP representatives a firsthand look at how the incubator’s programming works, extending NIC Hyderabad’s outreach beyond its usual founder and student engagements into the civil society sector specifically.

During the session, NIC Hyderabad introduced participants to the incubator itself, sharing how its incubation program works, the support available to startups, and how aspiring founders can apply if they have an idea they want to turn into a venture. This kind of orientation session serves a useful bridging function, giving organisations like CSSP a clearer understanding of the incubation process that they can, in turn, communicate to individuals within their own networks who may be considering entrepreneurship but are unfamiliar with how structured incubation programs actually operate.

It was a great opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and encourage more individuals to explore the possibilities of building and growing startups, reflecting NIC Hyderabad’s broader strategy of using outreach sessions with a range of organisations, from universities to civil society groups, to widen the pool of people aware of and potentially engaging with the region’s startup ecosystem. Civil society organisations in particular often maintain deep community relationships that could surface aspiring entrepreneurs who might not otherwise encounter an incubation center through more conventional channels like university partnerships or direct marketing.

NIC Hyderabad thanked the CSSP team for visiting and expressed anticipation for seeing innovative ideas take the next step as a result of the session. The visit was supported by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ignite National Technology Fund, PTCL, LMKT, and Tech Destination Pakistan, continuing the pattern of institutional backing behind NIC Hyderabad’s ongoing efforts to broaden awareness of and access to its incubation programming across different segments of the region’s population.
