NIC Islamabad Cohort 4 Acceleration Program Winners Revealed in Pakistan Startup Ecosystem

Published on

The journey into an acceleration program is widely regarded as one of the most demanding phases for early stage startups, where only a small number of ventures progress through multiple layers of evaluation, pitching sessions, and structured assessments. Within this context, Cohort 4 of the acceleration program presented by National Incubation Center Islamabad marked another cycle of selection where startups were evaluated on the basis of innovation, execution capability, and long term scalability. The program reflected the increasing depth of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, where emerging founders continue to build solutions across diverse sectors despite competitive pressures and resource constraints.

After a series of rigorous evaluations and pitching rounds, a group of startups emerged as winners of Cohort 4, representing sectors ranging from healthcare and mobility to sustainability, defense technology, and social impact. The selected startups included APRUS Technologies, EKKO, ezGeyser, Sky Technology & Innovations, and 3Musafir International. Each of these ventures demonstrated distinct approaches to problem solving, reflecting how local founders are addressing both technical challenges and everyday societal needs through technology driven solutions.

APRUS Technologies is focused on developing affordable, locally engineered surgical technology aimed at delivering high precision tools for emerging healthcare markets, contributing to improved accessibility in medical innovation. EKKO is working on enabling children with speech and neurological delays to access therapy at home through technology based interventions, addressing gaps in early stage developmental care. ezGeyser is transforming conventional water heating systems into intelligent and energy efficient solutions designed to reduce energy wastage while improving user convenience through automation.

Sky Technology & Innovations is advancing customized unmanned aerial vehicle solutions for both military and civilian applications, with a focus on autonomous capabilities and advanced engineering systems. 3Musafir International is developing safer, community driven, and more affordable travel experiences with a focus on improving mobility options for women in Pakistan, highlighting the role of inclusive design in transport and travel related services.

The acceleration program under National Incubation Center Islamabad, supported by Ignite under Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, continues to function as a platform for early stage founders to refine their business models and strengthen their operational readiness. The broader ecosystem, including Ignite – National Technology Fund and Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, plays a central role in enabling such programs that aim to expand the country’s innovation capacity.
