National Incubation Center Islamabad has extended the application deadline for Cohort 6, giving founders one more chance to apply after hearing directly from prospective applicants who needed additional time. The extension responds specifically to founders who missed the original deadline, started an application but could not finish it, or simply needed more time to put together a complete submission, treating the extension as a direct response to applicant feedback rather than an indefinite open-ended window.
The new deadline is set for Wednesday, 24 September 2026, giving founders a defined but limited additional period to complete their applications through NIC Islamabad’s application portal. Cohort 6 remains open to founders building across a wide range of sectors, including AI, Deep Tech, HealthTech, Climate Tech, FinTech, AgriTech, Cybersecurity, SaaS, and research commercialisation, a scope broad enough to capture both purely technical ventures and the kind of academic research commercialization NIC Islamabad has specifically courted through its recent outreach to researchers.
This extension arrives after NIC Islamabad has already run a multi-stage preparation process for Cohort 6 applicants this month, including a Storytelling Workshop to help applicants present their startup story clearly during the selection process, alongside earlier sessions covering pitch deck guidance and application readiness. Extending the deadline now gives founders who engaged with that preparatory programming, but were still finalizing their submissions, a final window to actually complete and submit before the cohort’s applications formally close.
The extension continues to be supported by Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Tech Destination Pakistan, and Ignite National Technology Fund, alongside institutional partners including Fauji Foundation, Founder Institute, CyberVision International, and CM. NIC Islamabad framed the extension plainly around responsiveness to applicant demand, closing with a direct call to action for founders to complete their applications before the new deadline arrives.
