The session gives NIC Islamabad startups a chance to work directly on their funding strategy, understand key considerations in startup financing, and strengthen how they present their approach to potential investors, extending Founder Institute’s broader global track record supporting idea-stage entrepreneurs through funding, team building, and traction generation.
The session features insights from Ahsan Gaylani, Hammad Bashir, and Victor Schiller, bringing a mix of perspectives to bear on the practical realities of raising capital. Founder Institute’s Islamabad chapter has historically drawn on a diverse international mentor pool spanning founders, managing partners, and executive coaches from ventures across multiple countries, and this funding-focused session continues that pattern by pairing founders with mentors who bring direct, applied experience in structuring and pitching funding rounds rather than purely theoretical financial frameworks.
The session maintains a practical focus on preparing founders for the funding process itself, an emphasis that distinguishes it from more conceptual investor education sessions by centering specifically on execution, how founders should structure their narrative, what documentation and metrics they need ready, and how to anticipate the kinds of questions investors are likely to raise during due diligence. The session is scheduled for 22nd September, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, at NIC Islamabad, and is restricted to NIC Islamabad startups only, keeping the session’s benefits concentrated within the center’s own cohort rather than opening it to the broader public. The event is supported by Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Tech Destination Pakistan, and Ignite National Technology Fund, continuing NIC Islamabad’s structured Founder Institute curriculum aimed at moving its startups methodically from early validation toward genuine investment readiness.
