NIC Islamabad Hosts Storytelling Workshop For Cohort Six Applicants

Published on

National Incubation Center Islamabad is hosting a Storytelling Workshop for founders who have already applied for Cohort 6, built around a straightforward but often underappreciated premise, that a strong startup deserves a clear story. The workshop arrives after the center’s earlier Cohort 6 Open House, which walked prospective applicants through pitch deck and application guidance before submissions closed, positioning this session as the next deliberate checkpoint in the selection process rather than a standalone event disconnected from the cohort’s broader admissions timeline.

The practical session is structured to teach applicants how to structure their startup story, moving founders away from disorganized or overly technical explanations toward a narrative arc that a selection panel can follow and remember. Founders will also learn how to clearly communicate their problem, solution, and potential, three elements that seem obvious in isolation but frequently get muddled together when a founder is deeply immersed in their own venture and struggles to step back and explain it the way an outside evaluator needs to hear it.

The workshop places particular emphasis on highlighting what matters in an application, a skill distinct from simply having strong underlying substance, since even a genuinely promising startup can fail to advance through a selection process if its application buries the most compelling details under less relevant information. Presenting an idea with greater clarity and confidence rounds out the session’s goals, treating confidence not as an innate personality trait but as something that follows directly from a founder genuinely understanding how to frame their own story effectively.

The workshop is open to all Cohort 6 applicants and is scheduled for Friday, 18 September, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at National Incubation Center Islamabad, with organizers describing it as a valuable opportunity to prepare before the next step in the selection process. Interested applicants can register through this link, with seats described as limited. The workshop is supported by Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Tech Destination Pakistan, and Ignite National Technology Fund, continuing NIC Islamabad’s structured, multi-stage approach to preparing Cohort 6 applicants well before final selection decisions are made.
