NIC Karachi Hiring Head of Incubation for Tech Startup Program

Published on

National Incubation Center Karachi has opened applications for the position of Head of Incubation, a senior leadership role responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving the centre’s incubation programme for technology startups. The application deadline is June 14, 2026, and interested candidates can apply through lmkt.com/jobs. The role is based in Karachi and requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience, with the expectation that the successful candidate will bring both a genuine understanding of what early-stage founders need and the operational capability to build and run the systems, curriculum, and community that deliver that support at a consistent and high standard.

The Head of Incubation will take ownership of the full lifecycle of NIC Karachi’s incubation programme, beginning with the scouting and onboarding of high-potential startups across the three sectors that define Cohort 16’s focus, namely industrial automation, cybersecurity, and financial technology. Identifying the right ventures at the right stage requires a combination of market awareness, founder assessment capability, and the kind of network and credibility within the startup community that allows a programme to attract applicants of genuine quality rather than simply volume. The role demands someone who can make those scouting and selection decisions with the rigour and consistency that a programme of NIC Karachi’s scale and reputation requires.

Once startups are onboarded, the Head of Incubation leads the structured coaching, mentorship, and curriculum design that constitute the core of the value NIC Karachi delivers to its cohort companies. Curriculum design for a technology incubation programme is a continuous and iterative process, requiring the person in the role to stay current with the evolving needs of founders building in fast-moving sectors, the changing expectations of investors evaluating early-stage ventures, and the practical lessons emerging from the programme’s own cohort outcomes. The expectation that the Head of Incubation will build strong founder communities reflects an understanding that the peer network a founder develops during incubation is often as valuable as the formal programming, and that creating the conditions for genuine community requires deliberate effort rather than emerging automatically from shared physical or virtual space.

The role also carries significant external-facing responsibilities, requiring the Head of Incubation to collaborate actively with stakeholders, mentors, and investors to create the connections and opportunities that accelerate the growth of incubated ventures beyond what the programme can provide through its own resources alone. NIC Karachi’s position within the national incubation network supported by Tech Destination Pakistan, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ignite, LMKT, LuckyOne Mall, and Orbit Ventures gives the Head of Incubation access to an institutional network of considerable breadth, and the ability to activate and navigate that network effectively on behalf of portfolio startups is a core expectation of the role. For candidates with the right combination of startup ecosystem experience, programme leadership capability, and genuine passion for helping founders build impactful ventures, the position represents one of the more consequential roles currently available within Pakistan’s incubation infrastructure.
