NIC Karachi Hosts EY Masterclass on Managing Finances and Investment Readiness

Published on

National Incubation Center Karachi is set to host a masterclass with EY focused on managing finances and preparing for investment, an event that has been organised exclusively for startups currently based at the incubator. The session forms part of a broader effort by National Incubation Center Karachi to equip its founders with practical financial knowledge as many of them move toward stages where investment readiness becomes a more pressing consideration.

The masterclass, titled Managing Your Finances and Preparing for Investment, will feature Ayesha Bibi, who serves as Business Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Lead for EY in Pakistan. Bibi’s session is expected to walk founders through the fundamentals of sound financial decision making within a startup context, while also addressing what investors typically look for when evaluating whether a company is ready to take on external funding. The event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, the eighteenth of August, twenty twenty six, beginning at three in the afternoon at National Incubation Center Karachi.

Financial management remains one of the areas startups in Pakistan continue to struggle with, particularly as founders balance early stage operations with the added complexity of preparing financial records and projections that meet investor expectations. National Incubation Center Karachi’s decision to bring in EY, a firm with an established presence in corporate advisory and sustainability consulting, reflects a continued pattern among Pakistan’s incubators of pairing early stage founders with professionals from larger firms who can speak directly to the standards investors apply during due diligence.

The event has been organised with backing from Ministry Of IT and Telecom and Ignite National Technology Fund, both of which have long supported National Incubation Center Karachi’s operations, alongside acknowledgements of Tech Destination Pakistan, LMKT, LuckyOne Mall, and Orbit Ventures. The masterclass is being positioned within the broader activities of the incubator’s current cohort, with the announcement referencing Cohort 16 as the group of startups the session is primarily intended for.

Attendance at the masterclass has been restricted to startups currently incubated at National Incubation Center Karachi, underscoring the event’s focus on founders who are actively building companies rather than the wider public. Founders looking to register for the session have been directed to do so through the registration link shared as part of the announcement, with National Incubation Center Karachi expected to continue offering similar sessions aimed at strengthening the financial and operational capacity of the startups it supports.
