NIC Karachi is Hiring for Head of Incubation Position

Published on

NIC Karachi is looking for a Head of Incubation to lead its incubation program, empower high-potential startups, and strengthen Pakistan’s innovation ecosystem. The role represents a senior leadership position within NIC Karachi’s operational structure, tasked with overseeing the incubator’s core function of identifying and supporting the startups that pass through its cohort programming.

Responsibilities for the role include scouting and onboarding high-potential startups, designing and delivering an impactful program, mentoring founders and tracking their growth, and building community and industry linkages. This combination of responsibilities positions the Head of Incubation as both a strategic program designer and a hands-on mentor, requiring someone capable of shaping the incubator’s overall direction while also engaging directly with individual founders on a more personal, developmental level.

NIC Karachi is specifically looking for candidates with more than five years of experience in the tech and startup ecosystem, alongside strong coaching and mentoring skills, a data-driven and analytical mindset, and a genuine passion for innovation and technology. This set of requirements suggests the incubator is seeking someone with substantial prior exposure to how startup ecosystems function, rather than a candidate transitioning into the space without direct experience, while also expecting a blend of interpersonal mentoring ability and more rigorous, metrics-oriented programme evaluation skills.

The position is based on-site in Karachi on a full-time basis, with applications open until August 16, 2026. Interested candidates can apply through https://lmkt.com/jobs/. The hiring call is supported by Tech Destination Pakistan, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ignite National Technology Fund, LMKT, LuckyOne Mall, and Orbit Ventures, continuing the pattern of institutional backing behind NIC Karachi’s operations, with the incoming Head of Incubation expected to play a central role in shaping how the incubator continues supporting Karachi’s growing startup community going forward.
