NIC Karachi will host an online curriculum session titled Technology Stack Selection, Choosing Appropriate Technologies for FinTech Solutions, scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The session will feature Syed Azhar, Founder and Director of ASF Tech Partners, who will guide founders through the process of evaluating technology options for their FinTech ventures based on feasibility, cost, security, compliance, scalability and long term sustainability. The session forms part of NIC Karachi’s ongoing curriculum for its incubated cohort, aimed at equipping founders with the practical technical knowledge needed to build resilient financial technology products.
Participants will explore structured frameworks for comparing programming languages, databases, tools and platforms suited to FinTech applications, moving beyond surface level technology choices toward a more deliberate, criteria driven approach to stack selection. Given the heavily regulated nature of financial technology, the session will place particular emphasis on how founders can balance the pace of innovation with the compliance and reliability requirements that FinTech products must meet, an area where many early stage teams struggle to strike the right balance between speed and caution.
A central theme of the session will be helping founders design modular and scalable technology stacks capable of supporting future growth and integration, rather than architectures that need to be rebuilt entirely as a company scales.
