NIC Karachi’s Regulatory Compliance Workshop Equips Industrial Automation Startups

Published on

NIC Karachi recently conducted a focused workshop on regulatory compliance tailored for founders developing industrial automation solutions. Held on 25th February 2026, the session was led by Saadia Kazmi, Director of Engineering and Quality at WATSUN Engineering and Solutions, and provided participating startups with critical insight into the regulatory landscape governing industrial technologies.

During the workshop, founders gained an understanding of the regulatory requirements that affect industrial automation products and services. Discussions centered on identifying potential compliance challenges and developing initial strategies to mitigate associated risks as startups progress toward building market-ready innovations. By exploring practical compliance frameworks, participants were better equipped to align their solutions with industry standards and regulatory expectations.

Industrial automation is a rapidly growing sector in Pakistan’s technology ecosystem, with startups increasingly embracing automation to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity across industries. Awareness of regulatory compliance is essential for these ventures, as adherence to standards not only ensures legal conformity but also strengthens credibility with partners, customers, and potential investors.

The session underscored the importance of integrating compliance considerations early in the product development cycle, helping founders anticipate regulatory requirements that can influence design, testing, and deployment. Participants were encouraged to adopt structured compliance strategies to ensure smoother market entry and long-term operational sustainability.

Through sector-specific workshops such as this, NIC Karachi continues to equip startups with both technical and regulatory knowledge, fostering solutions that are innovative, compliant, and scalable within Pakistan’s evolving industrial landscape.
