NIC Lahore To Host Canva AI 2.0 Storytelling Session

Published on

NIC Lahore will host a hands-on session on Canva AI 2.0, timed to coincide with Pakistan’s Independence Day and framed around the idea of using 79 minutes to master AI powered storytelling. The session is designed to introduce participants to how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way people create, design and tell stories, giving attendees direct, practical exposure to AI integrated design tools rather than a purely theoretical overview of the technology.

The session centres on Canva AI 2.0 specifically, walking participants through how the platform’s AI powered creative tools can be used to elevate storytelling and design work. Framing the session around a fixed 79 minute duration, mirroring the 79 years since Pakistan’s independence, gives the event a concise, tightly structured format intended to deliver practical skills within a short, focused window rather than requiring an extended time commitment from attendees.

Participants are expected to learn, create and experiment directly with the tools covered during the session, bringing their own storytelling ideas to life using AI assisted creative workflows. This hands on approach reflects a broader trend in design and creative tool training, where direct practice with a platform during a live session tends to translate into more immediately usable skills than passive demonstration alone.

The session is scheduled for August 13, 2026, from 3 PM to 4:20 PM Pakistan Standard Time at NIC Lahore, with organisers noting that seats are limited and encouraging prospective attendees to reserve their spot in advance. The compact scheduling and capped attendance suggest the session is designed for a more intimate, interactive group rather than a large scale lecture style format.

The session is supported by NIC Lahore’s established network of institutional partners, including the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Pakistan Software Export Board, Ignite National Technology Fund, NETSOL Technologies, HBL, Beaconhouse National University, UET Lahore, Plug and Play Tech Center and Daftarkhwan. Those interested in attending can reserve their spot through the registration link provided by the organisers. Register: https://forms.gle/rxm5xiBdwSJQrUzn6
