NIC Peshawar Hosts Outreach Session With Arfa Karim Technology Incubator Founders and Entrepreneurs

Published on

NIC Peshawar recently hosted an outreach session with the team and aspiring entrepreneurs from Arfa Karim Technology Incubator, bringing together two incubation communities based in different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for a shared discussion on entrepreneurship support and future collaboration. The session gave visiting participants a firsthand introduction to how NIC Peshawar structures its incubation ecosystem for early stage founders.

The session provided an opportunity to introduce participants to NIC Peshawar’s incubation ecosystem, exploring the support available to early stage founders and discussing how mentorship, networks, product development, and market access can help transform promising ideas into sustainable ventures. This overview gave visiting entrepreneurs from Arfa Karim Technology Incubator a clearer picture of the specific resources and support structures NIC Peshawar offers compared to their own home incubator.

The outreach format reflects a growing pattern among Pakistan’s regional incubation centres, where direct engagement between different incubator communities allows for knowledge sharing and relationship building that can extend beyond a single session. By bringing Arfa Karim Technology Incubator’s team and entrepreneurs into direct contact with NIC Peshawar’s ecosystem, the session created space for founders to compare notes on their respective incubation experiences and identify areas where the two communities might collaborate going forward.

The visit also encouraged meaningful conversations around entrepreneurship, innovation, and future collaboration between the two incubation communities, suggesting the session was intended to lay groundwork for continued engagement rather than serving as a one time introductory event. This kind of cross incubator relationship building reflects a broader recognition within Pakistan’s startup support ecosystem that different incubators, even those operating within the same province, often develop distinct strengths and networks that can benefit from being shared more widely.

The event was supported by Ignite National Technology Fund, Ministry Of IT and Telecommunication, LMKT, Orbit Startups, Accelerate Prosperity, Sybrid, and several academic institutions including IM Sciences, Rehman Medical Institute, and CECOS University, alongside Frontier Platinum, reflecting the broad institutional network tied to NIC Peshawar’s Cohort 16 programming. The session adds to NIC Peshawar’s continued efforts to build stronger connections with other incubation communities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, positioning the centre as an active participant in strengthening the province’s broader entrepreneurship support infrastructure.
