NIC Peshawar Hosts Session on Women Entrepreneurs Navigating Bias and Resilience

Published on

NIC Peshawar is hosting a session titled The Woman Entrepreneur, Navigating Bias and Building Resilience, scheduled for Wednesday, the second of September, twenty twenty six, at two in the afternoon at NIC Peshawar. The session addresses the reality that building a business comes with challenges, and for women entrepreneurs specifically, some of those challenges remain uniquely their own.

The session will feature Tahira Kaleem, who works in Sustainable Impact Solutions, focusing on the realities of building and leading a business as a woman, from navigating gender bias and overcoming barriers to balancing personal well being with entrepreneurial growth. This combination of professional and personal dimensions reflects a more holistic approach to discussing women’s entrepreneurship, acknowledging that structural challenges and personal wellbeing are often deeply interconnected for women building businesses.

The session will provide a space for meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and practical insights to help women entrepreneurs navigate their journeys with greater clarity and confidence. This kind of shared, experience based format often resonates more directly with participants than purely instructional sessions, given how personal and context specific many of the challenges around gender bias in entrepreneurship can be.

NIC Peshawar’s decision to host a session specifically dedicated to women’s entrepreneurial challenges reflects a broader pattern seen across Pakistan’s incubation ecosystem, where multiple organisations have increasingly created dedicated spaces addressing the specific barriers women founders face, distinct from general entrepreneurship programming. This kind of targeted session complements NIC Peshawar’s broader Cohort 16 activities, which have included a mix of technical, financial, and now more personally focused content for founders.

The event is supported by Ignite National Technology Fund, Ministry Of IT and Telecommunication, LMKR, LMKT, Orbit Ventures, Accelerate Prosperity, Sybrid, and academic institutions including IM Sciences, Rehman Medical Institute, and CECOS University, reflecting the broad institutional network tied to NIC Peshawar’s ongoing programming. Those interested in attending can register through the link shared as part of the announcement at https://luma.com/ww234e6g, with the session adding to NIC Peshawar’s continued effort to create space for conversations around what it takes for women to build, lead, and thrive within Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
