National Incubation Center Sialkot has signed a memorandum of understanding with FAST-NUCES, Islamabad Campus, in an agreement aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and linking the university with the wider startup ecosystem. The collaboration is intended to give students and aspiring founders a clearer route from academic work to building companies.
Under the arrangement, NIC Sialkot’s incubation support will be combined with the technical strengths of FAST-NUCES. For the incubation center, the agreement offers a way to reach technically trained students and graduates who may be developing ideas but lack structured guidance on turning them into viable ventures. For the university, it provides a direct link to an incubation environment where those ideas can be tested and developed.
The announcement describes the partnership as designed to foster entrepreneurship, bridge academia with startups and support the next generation of builders and innovators. It did not give details on specific programmes, timelines or the number of participants, so the practical shape of the collaboration is likely to become clearer as the two institutions begin working together.
NIC Sialkot operates with the backing of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication and Ignite National Technology Fund, with CyberVision International and Mobilink Bank among the partners acknowledged in the announcement. Agreements between incubation centers and universities of this kind have become a recurring feature of Pakistan’s startup landscape, as incubators look to widen their pipeline of founders beyond the major urban centers.
