NICAT Startup Neo Realms Wins First Place at TMUC AdVentures Demo Day Competition

Published on

Neo Realms, a NICAT startup from Cohort 7, secured first place at the TMUC x AdVentures Demo Day, taking home PKR 100,000 in innovation prize money. The win adds to NICAT’s continued track record of startups translating vision into winning pitches, with organisers describing this outcome as central to what the NICAT journey aims to produce.

Neo Realms, founded by Hamza Altaf, has continued to develop technology centred around mid air holograms and projection mapping, with a specific application built for the real estate sector. The company’s win at the TMUC x AdVentures Demo Day reflects growing external validation for its work applying display technologies to practical commercial use cases within Pakistan, an area of hardware and visual technology that remains relatively unexplored by local startups.

The Demo Day competition format gave Neo Realms an opportunity to present its technology to a panel of judges outside NICAT’s own internal evaluation processes, with the first place finish reflecting positively on both the startup’s technical development and its ability to communicate its value proposition effectively within a competitive pitch setting. This kind of external competition win adds credibility to a startup’s trajectory beyond incubation support alone.

The prize money award, while modest in absolute terms, provides Neo Realms with additional capital to support its continued development, alongside the visibility and recognition that comes with winning a competitive demo day event. Such wins often help startups build momentum with potential investors, partners, and customers who may take note of external validation as a signal of a company’s growing credibility.

The event was supported by Ignite National Technology Fund, Ministry Of IT and Telecommunication, NETSOL Technologies, National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, Air University, and Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra, reflecting the institutional network tied to NICAT’s operations. Neo Realms’ win adds to the growing list of NICAT startups gaining recognition through external competitions, reinforcing the incubator’s positioning as a source of ventures capable of competing successfully beyond their immediate incubation environment.
