Teams from across the National Incubation Centers and WISE Lab came together for a Best Practices session aimed at encouraging collaboration, knowledge exchange and collective learning among those who run incubation programmes in Pakistan. The session gave staff from the different centers a chance to compare how they work with early-stage founders and to learn from one another’s experience.
Through discussions, interactive activities and shared experiences, participants explored approaches to founder support, team development and the building of stronger incubation ecosystems. Sessions of this kind matter for a network of centers operating in different cities, since each incubator tends to develop its own methods for selecting, mentoring and supporting startups, and structured exchanges allow useful practices to spread across the network instead of staying within a single center.
The organizers said each participant’s perspective added value to the discussions and reinforced the importance of learning from peers while working towards a shared vision. The announcement did not give details on the number of participants, the venue or any specific outcomes from the session, so it is not yet clear whether the discussions will lead to formal changes in how the centers operate.
The National Incubation Centers operate with the backing of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication and Ignite National Technology Fund, with JazzWorld, Mobilink Bank and Change Mechanics among the partners acknowledged in the announcement. The session reflects an effort to strengthen the capacity of the teams behind these centers, on the view that better coordination among incubators ultimately creates more opportunities for the entrepreneurs they serve.
