NSTP Startup Zambeel Machine Craft Presents at Cambridge Tech Week in UK

Published on

Hamza Munir, CEO of Zambeel Machine Craft, presented the NSTP based deep tech startup at Cambridge Tech Week, hosted at St John’s Innovation Centre, marking a notable moment for a Pakistani hardware company to be sharing its work on a stage closely tied to the University of Cambridge’s technology ecosystem. Zambeel develops and de-risks ambitious physical products for funded teams, spanning hardware engineering, systems integration, AI vision hardware, industrial design and technical advisory, giving the company a broad technical footprint across several specialized hardware disciplines.

The company’s work ranges from mobile propulsion test beds built for aerospace engineers to AI powered factory inspection systems, built specifically for investors, software companies and consultancies that need serious hardware capability without building that expertise in house. This positioning allows Zambeel to serve as an outsourced hardware arm for organizations that are strong on software or capital but lack the physical engineering depth needed to bring complex hardware products to life, a gap that exists across much of the deep tech investment landscape globally.

During his talk at St John’s Innovation Centre, Munir shared the company’s experience of building within innovation ecosystems, touching on its robotics work, parking technology, its journey through the GEP programme, and the reasoning behind choosing Cambridge and SJIC as a base for growing its international presence. Reflecting afterward, Munir noted that trying to cover the company’s work concisely reminded him just how many interesting pockets of activity are happening across Zambeel, with only a small part of what the team builds making it into any single talk, and he added that some of the company’s most interesting projects, built for inventors, investors and technology companies, remain confidential to its clients and are never shared publicly.

Zambeel’s presence at Cambridge Tech Week adds to a growing list of moments where Pakistani deep tech startups are finding an audience within established international innovation hubs rather than only within domestic incubation programmes. For a company built around specialized hardware capability, visibility within an ecosystem like Cambridge’s can open doors to the kind of funded teams and technology companies that represent Zambeel’s core client base, extending its reach well beyond Pakistan’s own startup and research community.
