NUST Business School Club Hosts Global Student Entrepreneur Awards Awareness Session With EO Islamabad

The Business Entrepreneurship Club of the National University of Sciences and Technology Business School will host an awareness session on the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards with the leadership team of the Islamabad chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. The session will take place on Thursday, 22 October 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the NBS Seminar Hall. It is aimed at student entrepreneurs, and the organisers say final-year students working on startup ideas, entrepreneurial final year projects, innovative products or existing ventures are especially encouraged to attend and explore ways to take their ideas to the next level.

The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards is an international competition for university students who own and operate businesses, and it offers mentorship, networking, recognition and global exposure. It is run by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, which has held it since 1998, and it moves through local and national rounds to a global final. This year’s competition attracted 1,487 student applicants from 49 countries, and the global finals carry a prize pool of 100,000 dollars. In Pakistan, the competition has been held since 2016 through the organisation’s chapters in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, and the national winner represents the country at the global stage.

The competition is meant for students who already run a business and not only for those with an idea. In Pakistan, entrants must own a for-profit business that has operated for at least six months and meets the revenue requirement, so students with ideas or projects will first learn what is needed to qualify. The awareness session is a chance to ask the chapter’s leadership about eligibility, how the judging works and what the rounds involve, and to hear how the competition can open doors to experienced entrepreneurs.

For students at the business school, the session offers a direct link to a network of established business owners, and it comes as applications for the 2026-2027 competition are being accepted. The organisers invite students to connect with the entrepreneurial community and discover how their ventures can go further.
