Orbit Demo Day Brings NIC Karachi and NIC Peshawar Startups to Investors

Published on

Orbit Ventures is hosting a joint Demo Day bringing together startups from NIC Karachi and NIC Peshawar on September 30, 2026, structuring the event around a question that sits at the center of every early-stage fundraising conversation, what investors actually look for when evaluating a startup. Rather than opening straight into pitches, the event begins with a panel discussion addressing that question directly, giving founders in the room, and investors watching, a shared framework before the individual pitches begin.

The panel brings together Syed Asif Hasan, Co-Founder and CEO of Blinq, Harris Jamali, Managing Partner at H. M. Associates, and Mushtaq Ansari, Founder of Pitch & Model, moderated by Kelly Pang, Senior Program Manager at Orbit Ventures. The discussion will cover what founders need to understand when preparing to raise, from investor readiness to building a financial story compelling enough to hold up under scrutiny, drawing on perspectives from an operating founder, an investment firm partner, and a fundraising specialist whose company is literally named after the two components, pitch and model, that most investor conversations hinge on.

Following the panel, the event moves into pitches from startups spanning fintech, AI, cybersecurity, IoT, sustainability, traveltech, hospitality, proptech, blockchain, and supply chain, a breadth that reflects the diversity of what two separate incubation centers, one in Karachi and one in Peshawar, have been building across their respective cohorts. Combining startups from both cities into a single Demo Day gives Peshawar-based founders exposure to a Karachi investor audience they might not otherwise access easily, while giving investors a single event through which to survey ventures from two distinct regional ecosystems rather than attending separate demo days.

The event runs from 3 to 6 PM GMT+5, with the exact location shared upon registration. For investors, Orbit Demo Day offers a chance to hear directly from founders across a wide sector spread while grounding the pitches in a shared conversation about what makes a startup genuinely investment ready, giving the event a more structured framing than a straightforward pitch parade.
