Pakistani tech startups have been presented with a landmark opportunity to expand internationally, thanks to a new program launched under the 10th Session of the Pak-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission (IGC). In collaboration with the Government of Uzbekistan, the initiative invites Pakistani founders to establish or scale their businesses within Uzbekistan’s fast-growing IT Park ecosystem.

This expansion program comes with a host of unprecedented benefits designed to attract globally ambitious startups and tech professionals:

  • Zero Taxes: Complete exemption from corporate and personal income tax, VAT, and customs duties until 2040.
  • Free Office Space: Complimentary workspace for 12 months, with the option to rent or purchase afterward.
  • Operational Support: Free equipment for up to 100 employees and partial coverage of HR costs.
  • Wage Subsidies: Reimbursements ranging from 5% to 15% based on team size.
  • IT Visa: A three-year multiple-entry visa providing access to healthcare, education, and real estate facilities.
  • Broad Eligibility: Available to startup founders, investors, IT professionals, researchers, and executives.

According to Sehrish Riaz, Startup Growth Specialist at NIC Karachi, this initiative represents a remarkable step for Pakistani startups aiming to enter new international markets and benefit from supportive government-backed incentives.

“Uzbekistan is positioning itself as a regional hub for digital innovation and this program offers Pakistani startups the resources, infrastructure, and support to thrive,” she noted.

Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their details by 15th July 2025 via the official form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Gtkg4IVEhVONlDtbehKXV2puHsUtBXfn6MB0PdVd2f4/edit.

With incentives extending through 2040, Uzbekistan’s IT Park is emerging as a premier destination for South Asian startups seeking to scale globally, particularly in the tech and innovation sectors. For Pakistani entrepreneurs, this represents not just market expansion but a chance to build lasting partnerships in Central Asia’s thriving digital economy.
