Pathfinder CITADEL Jeddah Startup Challenge 2026 Opens Applications for Pakistan and OIC Founders

Published on

Pathfinder Group, in collaboration with CITADEL, has announced the Pathfinder CITADEL Jeddah Startup Challenge 2026, opening applications for early to growth-stage startups from Pakistan and OIC countries. The initiative is positioned as a cross-border platform designed to connect emerging technology ventures with global stakeholders, investors, and industry leaders, culminating in a showcase at the Pakistan Pavilion during the World Economic Forum Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting scheduled to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on April 22–23, 2026.

The challenge builds on Pathfinder Group’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems and promote international collaboration for high-potential startups. Selected companies will gain the opportunity to present their solutions on an international stage aligned with one of the most influential global economic forums, offering visibility among policymakers, multinational corporations, investors, and ecosystem enablers from across the world. The Jeddah edition marks a strategic shift from Davos to the Middle East, reflecting the growing role of Saudi Arabia as a regional hub for innovation, investment, and economic diversification.

The Pathfinder CITADEL Jeddah Startup Challenge 2026 is open to startups operating across priority technology sectors including AI and machine learning, FinTech, Climate and GreenTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, DeepTech, CyberTech, and EdTech. Organizers aim to curate a diverse cohort of founders who are building scalable, market-ready solutions with strong potential for cross-border expansion and global partnerships. Startups selected through the challenge will receive structured mentorship, exposure to international networks, and facilitation of strategic linkages with stakeholders across Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and other OIC member states.

A key component of the program is the Pakistan Pavilion at the WEF Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting, where participating startups will showcase their products and technologies to a global audience. The pavilion is expected to serve as a focal point for highlighting Pakistan’s growing startup ecosystem and its role within the broader OIC innovation landscape. Media spotlight and branding support will also be extended to selected startups, enabling them to amplify their narratives beyond local markets.

The initiative is being supported by ecosystem stakeholders including PASHA, reinforcing the role of public-private collaboration in advancing Pakistan’s technology sector on global platforms. By facilitating engagement with international partners and investors, the challenge aims to bridge gaps between emerging markets and global innovation hubs, while creating pathways for startups to access new customers, capital, and strategic alliances.

Applications for the Pathfinder CITADEL Jeddah Startup Challenge 2026 are currently open, with a deadline of February 4, 2026. Founders from Pakistan and OIC countries can apply through the official application link. Additional details about the program, eligibility criteria, and selection process are available through the organizers’ official communication channels. The challenge represents a significant opportunity for ambitious founders seeking international exposure and meaningful participation in global economic and innovation conversations aligned with the World Economic Forum agenda.
