Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has launched Inspire@PSW, a new leadership and learning initiative aimed at cultivating a culture of continuous learning, fresh thinking, and innovation across the organization. The program reflects PSW’s commitment to developing forward-looking strategies that can drive transformation within Pakistan’s public sector while strengthening its mission of simplifying cross-border trade.

The inaugural session, titled Startup Mindsets for Innovation in the Public Sector, featured Faizan Laghari, a thought leader known for bridging entrepreneurial thinking with institutional transformation. During his engaging talk, Laghari outlined practical approaches for applying startup-driven methodologies to the unique challenges of the public sector. His session emphasized how agility, experimentation, collaboration, and critical thinking can unlock more effective solutions while challenging long-standing conventions.

Laghari highlighted that adopting a startup mindset does not merely mean imitating the private sector but involves cultivating adaptability, testing bold ideas, and learning from iterative feedback. He encouraged PSW professionals to reframe problems, seek unconventional solutions, and embrace change as a catalyst for growth rather than a hurdle. By embedding these approaches within PSW’s operations, he argued, the organization could not only modernize processes but also set benchmarks for innovation in government-led services.

For PSW, Inspire@PSW is more than a knowledge-sharing platform—it is a structured effort to empower its teams with the skills and confidence to drive meaningful change. The program will provide staff members with access to leadership insights, case studies, and strategies that foster personal growth alongside organizational progress. The first session set the tone for future discussions that aim to combine global best practices with localized solutions for Pakistan’s trade ecosystem.

Speaking about the importance of the initiative, a PSW representative noted that Inspire@PSW will be instrumental in equipping employees with the mindset required to meet the demands of an increasingly dynamic global trade environment. By fostering entrepreneurial thinking within a traditionally structured public sector framework, PSW aims to break down silos, encourage innovation-driven decision-making, and accelerate the modernization of Pakistan’s cross-border trade systems.

The session also underscored PSW’s role as a trailblazer in digitalizing trade processes and introducing efficiency into historically complex systems. With Inspire@PSW, the organization is taking another step forward, not only addressing the technical aspects of trade but also investing in the human capital that drives institutional resilience.

Participants responded enthusiastically to the session, describing it as both inspiring and actionable. Many attendees shared how Laghari’s insights helped them view their work from a fresh perspective, encouraging them to think beyond procedural efficiency and toward broader impact and innovation.

Inspire@PSW is expected to host a series of future sessions featuring experts from various industries, focusing on leadership, problem-solving, and digital transformation. By consistently engaging its teams through such initiatives, PSW aims to ensure that its workforce remains agile, innovative, and capable of addressing emerging challenges in Pakistan’s evolving trade landscape.

Through this launch, PSW reinforces its commitment to building not just a modern trade platform but also an innovative institutional culture ready to meet the demands of tomorrow.
