The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Innovation Hub is set to host a Knowledge Sharing Session on Startup-Led Innovation for Pakistan’s Digital Economy under its Founders’ Series initiative. The session aims to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and regulators to explore the growing role of startups in shaping Pakistan’s digital and financial future.

Scheduled for Monday, February 16, 2026, from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM at the Heritage Building, State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi, the event will feature Syed Azfar Hussain, Project Director of the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi, as the keynote speaker. The session will focus on the evolving role of incubation centers in driving fintech and embedded finance innovation, highlighting how structured startup support systems are accelerating the development of technology-driven financial solutions across the country.

Discussions will also explore platform innovation and its contribution to economic growth, particularly in the context of Pakistan’s rapidly digitizing economy. As digital platforms continue to redefine financial services, commerce, and customer engagement, the dialogue will emphasize how startups are leveraging technology to create scalable, inclusive solutions. A key component of the session will address strengthening collaboration between regulators and innovators, fostering an environment where policy frameworks and emerging technologies can align to drive sustainable growth.

The interactive Q&A segment will offer participants the opportunity to engage directly with thought leaders, focusing on practical, forward-looking solutions that can help shape Pakistan’s digital ecosystem. By facilitating dialogue between regulators, founders, and ecosystem enablers, the SBP Innovation Hub aims to bridge gaps and encourage innovation within a structured and supportive regulatory environment.

The session will be held by invitation at the SBP Heritage Building, with online participation available via Webex for registered attendees.
