SEDF Opens Applications for Enterprise Grant Scheme Worth Up to PKR 35 Million

Published on

The Sindh Enterprise Development Fund, an investment initiative under the Government of Sindh, has opened applications for its Enterprise Grant Scheme, offering funding of up to PKR 35 million to eligible businesses across the province. The scheme, supported by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and funded by the European Union under the PAIDAR programme, is aimed at both individuals with viable business ideas and existing enterprises looking to scale their operations.

The grant scheme is focused on five key sectors identified as priority areas for development. These include waste recycling and disposal, along with the utilization of bio-waste through recycling and renewable resource initiatives, as well as innovation and technology projects spanning IT systems and science and technology. The scheme also places emphasis on women-led businesses, research and development initiatives, and projects related to fisheries and aquaculture, reflecting an effort to support sectors seen as central to sustainable economic growth in the region.

Applications under the scheme are being accepted from businesses operating within a defined set of target districts, including Larkana, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin and Tharparkar. The geographic focus suggests an intent to direct enterprise development funding toward areas that may otherwise have limited access to structured business financing, extending support beyond Pakistan’s more established urban business hubs.

Interested applicants have been directed to apply through the SEDF grants portal at portal.sedf.gos.pk/Grants ahead of the submission deadline of September 15, 2026. The initiative forms part of broader efforts by the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund, in partnership with UNIDO and the European Union, to strengthen entrepreneurship and enterprise development across the province through targeted financial support and sector-specific funding opportunities.
