SEE Pakistan Announces Jury for World Startup Championship 2026

Published on

SEE Pakistan has announced the jury members who will evaluate startups during the International Round online evaluation of the World Startup Championship 2026, scheduled to take place on June 22, 2026. The jury panel brings together professionals from corporate, consulting, and academic backgrounds, giving the evaluation process a combination of industry practitioner experience and research-grounded academic perspective as participating startups present their ventures for assessment. Further information about the championship is available at seepakistan.com.pk.

The jury panel includes Memoona Naseer, Assistant Manager at ID92, whose role brings an operational and managerial perspective to the evaluation of startup pitches and business models. M. Ali Qureshi contributes a dual perspective as Regional Sales Head at Daraz Express, one of Pakistan’s most significant e-commerce logistics operations, and as Chief Executive Officer of HNB Consultancy Private Limited, giving him direct insight into both large-scale e-commerce and logistics operations and the consulting work of advising businesses across a range of sectors and stages. Dr. Fariha Gul, Associate Professor at the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization at the University of Management and Technology, rounds out the panel with an academic and research commercialisation perspective that is particularly relevant for evaluating the technical and innovation merit of startups whose concepts may have originated from or be connected to academic research environments.

The composition of the jury reflects the World Startup Championship’s broader approach to evaluation, which draws on diverse professional vantage points to assess startups across the full range of criteria that determine genuine commercial viability and growth potential, including market understanding, operational execution capability, business model soundness, and the underlying innovation or technical merit of the venture. For startups advancing to the International Round, presenting before a jury that includes both corporate practitioners with direct operational experience and an academic with research commercialisation expertise provides a more rounded evaluation than a panel drawn exclusively from a single professional background would offer.

SEE Pakistan, organised in partnership with the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan, the Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Center for Entrepreneurship Development, The Innovation Hub, Superior University, University of Lahore, Riphah International University, The University of Faisalabad, and University of Sialkot, has positioned itself as Pakistan’s largest entrepreneurial expo, and the World Startup Championship represents one of its flagship competitive programmes connecting Pakistani startups to international evaluation standards and global startup community recognition. The announcement of the jury panel ahead of the June 22 International Round evaluation gives participating startups visibility into who will be assessing their submissions, allowing them to prepare their presentations with an understanding of the range of expertise and perspective that will be evaluating their ventures. For the broader community of Pakistani entrepreneurs, students, and innovation ecosystem participants following the World Startup Championship 2026, the announcement marks another step in the competition’s progression toward its international rounds and the recognition that awaits the startups that perform strongly before this panel of evaluators.
