SEED Ventures Partners with Sindh Government to Launch Enterprise Challenge Pakistan in Schools

Published on

SEED Ventures has partnered with the School Education & Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, to introduce the Enterprise Challenge Pakistan programme to public schools across the province. The initiative, part of a broader mission to build entrepreneurial capacity among youth, targets students aged 14 to 18 years and aims to provide them with the skills and mindset necessary to engage in problem-solving and business thinking from a young age. This development marks a significant collaboration between a social enterprise and a public sector institution, aligning their efforts to support youth empowerment through education.

Enterprise Challenge Pakistan is the flagship programme of King’s Trust International and SEED Ventures. Designed to nurture entrepreneurial abilities, the programme integrates business simulation activities and mentorship sessions, creating a dynamic learning experience for students. By entering public schools in Sindh, it expands its reach to a wider demographic, many of whom may not have had previous exposure to structured entrepreneurship education. This strategic expansion reflects a shared vision to invest in long-term socio-economic change through early engagement and capacity building.

The partnership was made possible with the active support of Dr. Fouzia, CEA/AS at SELD, and her team, whose collaboration ensured that the programme could be adapted effectively within the public education framework. Their involvement underscores the role of public institutions in enabling initiatives that bring real-world learning into the classroom. It also highlights the importance of multi-sector alliances in addressing the need for diverse educational experiences within the public school system.

With this move, SEED Ventures continues its commitment to create scalable and inclusive models for youth development. By embedding entrepreneurial training within public education, the programme not only builds individual capacity but also introduces concepts of innovation and economic participation to underserved communities. The collaboration also reinforces the idea that entrepreneurship is not confined to the privileged or urban segments but is a mindset that can be cultivated across regions and socio-economic backgrounds.

King’s Trust International brings global experience and a tested framework to the initiative, while SEED Ventures provides contextual expertise in engaging youth across Pakistan. Together with the institutional support of SELD, this effort stands to significantly broaden the scope and impact of youth entrepreneurship education in Sindh. It is an example of how structured programmes, when aligned with public education systems, can become powerful vehicles for social mobility and economic resilience.

As the partnership progresses, Enterprise Challenge Pakistan is expected to reach hundreds of students through workshops, mentoring, and national-level competitions that simulate real business environments. The expansion into Sindh’s public schools demonstrates a practical approach to bridging policy, social innovation, and education—empowering students with tools to think critically, act confidently, and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the broader economy.
