SEED Ventures has signed a Letter of Understanding with the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, paving the way for Enterprise Challenge Pakistan to reach fifteen public high and secondary schools across Karachi, Hyderabad, and Daharki as the programme steps into its tenth cycle. The agreement marks a formal expansion of the initiative’s reach across public education institutions in Sindh, moving beyond its earlier scope to bring entrepreneurial learning to a wider student population.
The Letter of Understanding was signed by Shaista Ayesha, Chief Executive Officer at SEED Ventures, and Shazia Qazi, Special Secretary at the School Education and Literacy Department, alongside Enterprise Challenge Pakistan team members Maha Salman and Hajra Mushtaq. This formal signing brought together leadership from both the private sector organisation running the programme and the provincial government department responsible for public education across Sindh.
Enterprise Challenge Pakistan operates as a joint initiative of SEED Ventures and The King’s Trust International, equipping young people with entrepreneurial thinking, life skills, and the confidence to shape their future. The programme’s focus on combining entrepreneurial education with broader life skills development reflects an approach that treats economic and business literacy as complementary to, rather than separate from, general youth development.
This collaboration follows an earlier meeting with Zahid Ali Abbasi, Secretary of the School Education and Literacy Department, where discussions focused on expanding entrepreneurship and economic learning across public schools in Sindh. That earlier engagement appears to have laid the groundwork for this formal agreement, reflecting a structured progression from initial discussion toward a concrete institutional partnership between SEED Ventures and the provincial government.
The agreement’s geographic spread across Karachi, Hyderabad, and Daharki reflects an effort to extend entrepreneurship education beyond Sindh’s largest urban centre into smaller cities and towns, giving students in these areas access to the same programming previously available primarily in Karachi. With Cycle 10 now underway, Enterprise Challenge Pakistan’s expansion into fifteen new public schools represents a significant scaling of the programme’s reach within Sindh’s public education system, building on nine previous cycles of the initiative’s work introducing entrepreneurial thinking to young Pakistanis.
