Seven Pakistani Startups Selected For Pathfinder CITADEL DAVOS Startup Challenge 2026

Published on

Seven Pakistani startups have been selected to represent the country at the Pakistan Pavilion during the Pathfinder CITADEL DAVOS Startup Challenge, held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos in January. The selection process highlights Pakistan’s growing innovation ecosystem and aligns with Vision 2030 and Digital Pakistan initiatives by bridging local talent with global investors, markets, and mentorship.

Among the selected startups is Edversity, a platform building tech talent pipelines in emerging markets by training youth in AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity through personalized learning. Edversity has graduated over 12,000 students, with 68 percent placed in roles that contribute to a sustainable digital economy. Vector AI, founded in 2023, develops specialized AI solutions and SaaS platforms, serving sectors such as telecommunications, education, insurance, and non-profits with a focus on localization and enterprise-grade Agentic AI systems. Karachi-based Swich, a digital payments platform that started as a payment aggregator in 2023, provides innovative solutions for fund collection and disbursement across Pakistan, further advancing the fintech ecosystem.

Healthtech startup EKKO offers a portable device for home-based speech therapy targeting children worldwide with speech disorders, combining safe vibrational wave stimulation with app and cloud support to make therapy more accessible. Ai team force provides an AI-powered sales outreach tool that acts as a full-time Sales Development Representative for small and mid-sized companies, serving 19 clients including Vodafone Germany, achieving $60,000 in annual recurring revenue with 95 percent client retention. Edkasa focuses on helping Matric and FSc students achieve top marks through its online learning app, aiming to promote equitable learning opportunities nationwide. AiBL develops AI-integrated bionic prosthetics to restore mobility and independence for amputees, combining innovation and accessibility in medical technology.

The selection followed a rigorous three-stage evaluation process involving 200 initial applicants, narrowing to 60 shortlisted startups, 40 pitching in the second round, and 20 advancing to the finals. External experts from industry, academia, and investment communities ensured transparency and merit-based assessment before the top seven were chosen to attend Davos. Winners will gain exposure to international media, global investors, corporate linkages, and Pathfinder CITADEL’s acceleration and mentorship programs, providing them with opportunities to scale into international markets.

Organizers emphasized that participation at Davos offers “escape velocity access” to resources that can accelerate the growth trajectory of these startups. Pathfinder CITADEL, a collaboration between Pathfinder Group and Pakistan IT Industry Association P@SHA, aims to strengthen Pakistan’s innovation ecosystem by connecting local tech startups with global platforms, fostering talent, and enabling sustainable economic impact. This initiative reflects a growing commitment to nurturing early-stage entrepreneurs and promoting Pakistan’s technology-driven ventures on an international stage.
