SheXcelerate Signs MoU With NIC Lahore to Support Women-Led Startups

Published on

sheXcelerate has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Incubation Center Lahore, marking a strategic partnership designed to strengthen the support system for female entrepreneurs across Pakistan. The agreement brings together two organisations working toward a shared goal of expanding opportunities for women led startups, combining resources that neither organisation may have been able to offer on its own.

By combining NIC Lahore’s incubation infrastructure with sheXcelerate’s targeted growth frameworks, mentorship networks, and community initiatives, the partnership creates a direct pathway for women led startups to build, scale, and access capital. This kind of combined approach addresses multiple stages of a women entrepreneur’s journey simultaneously, from early stage incubation support through to the more specific mentorship and community resources sheXcelerate brings to the table.

NIC Lahore’s role as an established incubator with physical infrastructure, industry connections, and a consortium of institutional partners gives sheXcelerate’s growth frameworks and mentorship networks a concrete platform through which to reach women founders. This kind of infrastructure sharing arrangement allows specialised organisations focused on specific communities, such as women entrepreneurs, to extend their reach without needing to build out equivalent physical incubation capacity independently.

The partnership reflects a broader pattern within Pakistan’s startup ecosystem this year, where multiple organisations have formalised collaborations specifically aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs, including WISE Lab’s recent partnerships with Pakistan Single Window’s Khadijah Programme and Fatima Jinnah Women University. This growing wave of targeted partnerships suggests increased institutional attention toward addressing the specific barriers women founders continue to face in accessing capital, mentorship, and structured business support.

Both organisations described the collaboration as unlocking potential, driving ecosystem collaboration, and building a more inclusive future for entrepreneurship, positioning the MoU as part of a broader effort to close gender gaps within Pakistan’s startup and innovation ecosystem. The partnership adds to NIC Lahore’s growing network of institutional collaborations, extending its incubation model to reach women founders through a dedicated, specialised partner organisation.
