Sindh Sarmaya Opens Applications for Young Entrepreneurs in Sindh

Published on

Applications are now open for Sindh Sarmaya, a Healthy Enterprise Ecosystem for Young Entrepreneurs, giving young business owners across four cities in Sindh the opportunity to strengthen their ventures with structured knowledge, tools, and support needed to grow sustainably. If based in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, or Sukkur, this represents a chance to access practical business development resources tailored specifically to the region’s young entrepreneurs.

Implemented by SEED Ventures in partnership with the British Asian Trust, Sindh Sarmaya is designed to empower emerging entrepreneurs through practical business development support, including business training and mentorship, financial planning and business management support, record keeping and taxation guidance, business model development, and loan proposal development. This combination of support areas addresses both the foundational business management skills young entrepreneurs often lack and the more specific technical guidance needed to formally approach lenders for financing, an area where many small business owners struggle without dedicated support.

Eligibility for the programme requires applicants to be between 18 and 35 years of age, resident in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, or Sukkur, and to have a household monthly income of PKR 75,000 or above. Applicants must also be willing to attend weekly training sessions and committed to completing the loan proposal development process, while having no existing business loan or active business financing. Women are strongly encouraged to apply, reflecting a deliberate effort to widen participation among women entrepreneurs who may otherwise be underrepresented in similar programmes.

The application deadline is set for August 5, 2026, with interested applicants able to scan the QR code included in the programme’s promotional material to apply directly. For further information, prospective applicants can reach out to shahzeb@seedventures.org. The programme’s focus on structured, multi-week training combined with concrete loan proposal support gives young entrepreneurs in Sindh’s smaller cities, such as Jamshoro and Sukkur, access to the kind of business development resources more typically concentrated in Pakistan’s larger commercial hubs.
