Sindh Youth Science & Tech Festival 2025 Set to Inspire Innovation in Karachi

The Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, through its Directorate of Youth Affairs, has announced the Sindh Youth Science & Tech Festival 2025, scheduled to take place in Karachi on 28th, 29th, and 30th November 2025. The initiative aims to inspire scientific thinking, creativity, and innovation among Sindh’s youth, offering a platform for young minds to turn ideas into impactful solutions.

The festival invites participation from individuals aged 15 to 29 years who are permanent residents of Sindh. Entrants are encouraged to submit proposals showcasing their innovative ideas or research in the fields of science and technology. After careful evaluation, shortlisted candidates will be invited to exhibit and present their projects at the festival in Karachi, creating an environment where innovation meets opportunity.

With a strong focus on empowering youth, the Sindh Youth Science & Tech Festival seeks to recognize talent and provide exposure to emerging scientists, engineers, and technologists. The event will feature engaging exhibitions and presentations that celebrate the potential of Sindh’s next generation of innovators.

The initiative offers cash prizes for top projects, Rs. 100,000 for first place, Rs. 75,000 for second place, and Rs. 50,000 for third place. These awards aim to encourage young innovators to continue developing practical and creative solutions for real-world challenges.

The deadline for proposal submission is November 15, 2025. Participants can submit or post their proposals to the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh, located at Sindh Youth Club, ST-42, Block 15, Abdul Asar Hafeez Jalandhari Road, Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi.

Speaking about the festival, Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Sindh, emphasized that the event reflects the government’s commitment to promoting innovation and scientific engagement among young people. He noted that initiatives like this play a key role in equipping youth with the mindset and confidence to pursue careers in science, research, and technology.

Mr. Munawar Ali Mahesar, Secretary of the Sports & Youth Affairs Department, also highlighted that the festival will serve as a launchpad for talented youth to gain visibility, connect with mentors, and access opportunities for growth in science and technology.

By hosting the Sindh Youth Science & Tech Festival 2025, the Government of Sindh reinforces its dedication to nurturing a knowledge-based, future-ready generation. The event stands as a significant step in cultivating an innovation ecosystem that supports creativity, problem-solving, and youth empowerment in the province.
