SparkTank by Beaconhouse has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization, also known as WEDO and ChooseWOMEN, to run an eight week programme on artificial intelligence for its founders. The programme is titled Unlocking New Opportunities With AI, and it will help SparkTank founders explore how to use AI effectively in their businesses and build stronger brands. SparkTank described the agreement as an exciting step for its community of young entrepreneurs.
SparkTank was launched by Beaconhouse in 2023 as Pakistan’s first business incubator for school students aged 10 to 19, open to students from public and private schools across the country. It offers a three month incubation programme that supports students at each stage of building a business, from market research and prototypes to launch and growth, at no cost. The programme draws students from many cities, and its founders are therefore among the youngest entrepreneurs in the country’s startup ecosystem, which makes early exposure to tools such as AI particularly useful for them.
The Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization is a global movement founded in 2013 by Wendy Diamond, which marks Women’s Entrepreneurship Day each year on 19 November and supports women entrepreneurs and their allies with microloans, education and events. It runs a free AI education programme for women entrepreneurs, built around eight week courses delivered through live virtual sessions, self-paced modules and online resources, and it has set a goal of reaching one million women. The announcement does not say whether SparkTank’s programme will use that course, and it has not given the start date, the number of participants or the topics of each week.
For SparkTank founders, the main aim is practical. AI tools can help a young business with research, content, design and customer communication, and they can lower the cost of tasks that would otherwise need a team. A structured eight week programme gives students time to apply each tool to their own ventures, test the results and decide which ones help their brand. The agreement also gives SparkTank a link with an international network of women entrepreneurs and mentors.
