Students From SABS University Visit National Incubation Center Hyderabad For Entrepreneurship Session Ahead Of Cohort

Published on

Students from the Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro recently visited National Incubation Center Hyderabad for an interactive session on entrepreneurship and startup development. The visit is part of the center’s outreach campaign for its upcoming incubation cohort, which aims to tell students about the opportunities available to them. The center said the next generation of founders could be sitting in today’s university classrooms, and that creating awareness is an important first step.

The discussion introduced students to the realities of building a venture and to how the startup ecosystem works. For students of art, design and heritage subjects, who are less often approached by technology focused incubators, the session offered a view of how creative skills can become the basis of a business. Fields such as textile design, communication design and fine art feed into industries ranging from fashion to branding, and a founder with a design background can bring something different to a startup than an engineer or business graduate.

Students also learned how they can take their ideas forward by applying to the center’s upcoming cohort. The session gave them a chance to ask about the application process and the support the center offers, which includes mentorship, business guidance and access to networks. By visiting the center in person, students saw the working environment of an incubation program, which can make the idea of joining one feel less distant.

National Incubation Center Hyderabad operates with the backing of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Ignite, the National Technology Fund, with PTCL, LMKT and Tech Destination Pakistan supporting its work. With applications for its next cohort open, the visit adds to a series of outreach activities that bring the center’s message to universities in and around Hyderabad, and it widens the range of students who may consider turning their ideas into ventures.
