TDAP’s Women Entrepreneur Division, in collaboration with Circle Women Association and Sialkot Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organised a seminar on the Digital Literacy Program for women entrepreneurs on the twenty ninth of August, twenty twenty six, in Sialkot. The seminar gave women business owners in one of Pakistan’s major export oriented industrial hubs direct access to structured digital and entrepreneurial training.
This seminar marked Phase Two of the nationwide DLP training campaign aimed at strengthening the digital and entrepreneurial capacity of women led businesses across Pakistan. The phased rollout of this training programme reflects a broader effort to extend digital literacy support systematically across different regions of the country, rather than concentrating training in a single location or delivering it as a one time event.
Sessions covered digital literacy, financial management, digital marketing, and e-commerce and mobile selling skills for small business growth, giving participants a broad foundation spanning both technical digital skills and the financial management capabilities needed to run a sustainable business. This combination addresses the reality that digital tools alone are often insufficient without the underlying business management knowledge to use them effectively.
The seminar drew strong participation from Sialkot’s women entrepreneur community, given the city’s status as a major export oriented industrial hub. This strong turnout reflects the relevance of digital and e-commerce skills specifically for entrepreneurs operating within an export focused economy, where digital marketing and online selling capabilities can directly support access to international buyers and markets.
The event adds to TDAP’s continued collaboration with local chambers of commerce and women’s associations across Pakistan, following a similar pattern seen in its Khadijah Women Entrepreneurship Program engagements in Sialkot and Gujranwara. This consistent partnership model with local business associations reflects TDAP’s strategy of working through established community institutions to reach women entrepreneurs more effectively than centralised, one size fits all training delivery would allow.
