TiE Islamabad Concludes Elevate Entrepreneurship Batch 2 Programme

Published on

TiE Islamabad has concluded Batch 2 of its Elevate Entrepreneurship programme with a final session titled The Art of Pitch, giving participants one last opportunity to bring their ideas together, sharpen their storytelling, and put their pitches to the test in front of experienced entrepreneurs. Closing a programme with a pitching exercise rather than a ceremonial wrap-up reflects a practical view of entrepreneurship education, since the ability to explain an idea clearly and persuasively is often what separates a concept that gains support from one that stays on paper.

The session drew on TiE Islamabad’s Charter Members, with Atifa Asghar, Sayyed Ahmad Masud, and Raza Afzal joining participants, mentoring them, and sharing their own entrepreneurial perspectives. Charter Members are established business figures within the TiE network, and placing them directly in front of early-stage participants gives young entrepreneurs feedback grounded in real experience building and running companies. For participants who may not otherwise have access to that level of experience, a pitch review from working entrepreneurs carries more weight than classroom instruction alone.

The session also brought in volunteers from S&P Global, with Tehreem Arjman, Nida Abbasi, and Nuke N. joining the programme, alongside Mansoor Ali and Matloob Hussain, whom TiE Islamabad credited with making the session more special. Adding professionals from a global financial information company to the room broadens the range of perspectives participants hear, since corporate professionals tend to ask different questions from founders, such as how clearly an idea is structured and whether its value is understood quickly. TiE Islamabad also singled out Sonia Javed, whose work and coordination it described as instrumental throughout the programme, a reminder that behind most successful cohorts is steady operational effort that rarely reaches the stage.

With Batch 2 now complete, the programme has moved participants from learning the fundamentals of entrepreneurship to presenting their own ideas under scrutiny, which is the point at which many young founders discover how much work remains in turning an idea into a pitch others can believe in. TiE Islamabad closed the programme by wishing its participants well for what comes next, and the combination of mentorship, corporate volunteers, and a live pitching test gives Batch 2 graduates a concrete experience to draw on as they continue developing their ventures or move into the wider startup ecosystem.
