IBA-CED and Mountain View Technology Park Join Forces to Support Startups in Balochistan

Published on

Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), IBA Karachi, has entered into a strategic partnership with Mountain View Technology Park, Quetta, to expand entrepreneurial support and opportunities in Balochistan and other regions of Pakistan. The collaboration marks a significant step toward bridging the gap between emerging founders in underserved areas and the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Dr. Lalarukh Ejaz, Director at IBA-CED, and Raheel Javed, CEO of Mountain View Technology Park. Through this agreement, startups in Quetta will gain access to structured incubation training, expert mentorship, and networking platforms that extend beyond provincial boundaries. By leveraging the strengths of both institutions, the partnership aims to create an enabling environment where local entrepreneurs can build, test, and scale their ideas with greater confidence.

IBA-CED has consistently positioned itself as a hub for nurturing entrepreneurial talent in Pakistan, offering programs and initiatives designed to equip young innovators with the skills and guidance needed to succeed in dynamic markets. Its collaboration with Mountain View Technology Park reflects a commitment to ensuring that these resources are not confined to major cities but are extended to regions like Balochistan, where entrepreneurial ecosystems are still developing.

For startups in Quetta, the partnership offers exposure to a wider range of investors, industry experts, and fellow entrepreneurs. Access to mentorship from experienced professionals is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening business models and accelerating growth. Additionally, incubation training programs will help founders refine their ideas into scalable ventures while tapping into networks that provide visibility and market opportunities.

This collaboration highlights how regional partnerships can play a pivotal role in driving inclusivity within Pakistan’s entrepreneurial landscape. By connecting emerging entrepreneurs from Balochistan with broader opportunities, IBA-CED and Mountain View Technology Park are laying the groundwork for sustainable innovation and long-term capacity building across the country
