NIC Islamabad Opens Cohort 5 Applications Following Founder Institute Roadmap

Published on

NIC Islamabad has opened applications for Cohort 5, offering startups a structured, execution-focused program designed to turn early-stage ventures into fundable, globally competitive businesses. Following the Founder Institute (FI) roadmap, a globally recognized curriculum that has supported founders in raising over 2 billion dollars, NIC Islamabad combines high-intensity mentorship with a proven framework for startup success.

The program provides founders with access to internationally experienced mentors who operate at the intersection of global startup ecosystems, investors, and scale-ready companies. These mentors offer 1-on-1 guidance, execution reviews, and strategic insights to help founders navigate challenges and position their ventures for growth and funding. Cohort 5 focuses on startups in Deep-tech, AI, Fintech, Climate, Healthtech, and Enable-tech, providing the tools, networks, and support required to accelerate business development while maintaining a high level of execution discipline.

Among the global mentors guiding Cohort 5 founders are Ayhan K. Isaacs, an ecosystem builder with expertise in linking local economies to global startup hubs; Karin Jork-Wellbrock, an executive and team coach who helps founders strengthen leadership and operational clarity; Richard Cristina, a director and mentor at Founder Institute specializing in strategy, positioning, and investor readiness; and Ayami Wanasinghe, Regional Director for South Asia at Founder Institute, who connects startups in the region to international opportunities. Alongside these leaders, many local and international mentors contribute to a supportive network that ensures startups receive continuous guidance throughout their growth journey.

NIC Islamabad’s program emphasizes investor readiness, offering practical support in financial modeling, venture capital-level positioning, and fundraising strategies. Beyond technical and financial guidance, the cohort provides an empowering community where founders can learn alongside peers, exchange ideas, and collaborate to solve real-world challenges. By focusing on execution and measurable outcomes rather than theoretical concepts, Cohort 5 aims to equip entrepreneurs with the capabilities and confidence to scale their ventures globally.

Participation in the program does not require equity, allowing founders to retain full ownership while benefiting from a structured, high-intensity accelerator. This approach has attracted founders seeking a disciplined and proven path to building startups that are attractive to investors while making an impact in technology-driven sectors. Applications for Cohort 5 are now open, offering a chance for ambitious entrepreneurs to join a network of global mentors and local innovators committed to building sustainable and fundable businesses.
