The Center of Excellence in Gaming and Animation, known as CEGA, has announced that applications for the Unreal Engine track within its Free Training Program Batch 03 are closing soon, with limited seats still available for candidates looking to enter Pakistan’s growing game development and real-time content industry. The program is offered at no cost to participants and runs over three months, with training delivered by industry professionals through a project-based curriculum.
The Unreal Engine track is structured around giving participants direct, hands-on experience with one of the most widely used real-time development platforms in the global gaming and entertainment industry. Trainees will cover level design and gameplay space creation, Blueprint scripting — Unreal Engine’s visual coding system that allows logic to be built without writing traditional code — asset optimisation for performance, high-quality lighting and materials, and the creation of cinematic scenes with a focus on narrative impact. The program is designed to bridge the gap between technical proficiency and creative application.
Upon completion, participants will receive a free certification, adding a verifiable credential to their portfolio at a stage in their careers when formal recognition can open doors to employment and freelance opportunities in gaming, animation, visual effects, and architectural visualisation. The three-month structure is intensive by design, intended to compress meaningful skill development into a focused period rather than stretching it across a longer, less demanding timeline.
CEGA operates under the broader ecosystem supported by Ignite — National Technology Fund and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, positioning its training programs within Pakistan’s national push to develop a skilled digital workforce in specialised creative technology disciplines. Interested applicants can submit their applications through cega.com.pk/training before seats fill up.
