CEGA Lahore Opens Applications for Gaming Animation Training Batch 4

Published on

CEGA Lahore, the Centre of Excellence in Gaming and Animation operating under Ignite and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, hosted a Certification Ceremony celebrating the successful completion of Training Batches 1 and 2, bringing together graduates, mentors, industry leaders, and distinguished guests to mark an occasion that represented months of sustained learning, creative development, and technical skill-building for the participants being recognised. The ceremony closed one chapter for the graduating trainees while simultaneously opening another, with CEGA Lahore announcing that applications for Training Batch 4 are now open at cega.com.pk.

Certification ceremonies carry a weight within vocational and creative training programmes that goes beyond the formal recognition they provide. For trainees who have invested significant time and effort in developing skills in gaming, animation, and creative technology, fields where the gap between aspiration and professional capability is wide and where the pathway from learning to earning is not always clearly mapped, the moment of certification serves as both an acknowledgement of what has been accomplished and a signal to the industry that these graduates have met a defined standard of training. The presence of industry leaders and distinguished guests at the CEGA Lahore ceremony gave the event an additional dimension of professional visibility, creating an environment where graduates could begin the process of building the industry relationships that will shape their creative careers.

The two batches being celebrated represent CEGA Lahore’s early cohorts within what is intended to be a sustained and growing training programme aimed at building Pakistan’s pipeline of gaming, animation, and creative technology talent. Pakistan’s creative technology sector has been growing in output and international recognition, with game developers, animators, and digital artists from the country increasingly finding commercial opportunities both domestically and through export-oriented work for international clients. The skills that CEGA’s training programmes develop, from game design and development through animation techniques and creative technology applications, are directly applicable to those opportunities, making the programme’s graduates genuinely employment-relevant in a sector where qualified talent remains in shorter supply than the market demand for it.

The keynote addresses and interactions that formed part of the ceremony’s programme gave graduates access to perspectives from practitioners and leaders in the creative industry whose experience and networks carry direct relevance to the careers they are now beginning. For a training programme that is still building its alumni community and its industry relationships, events of this kind serve a function beyond celebration, they create the early touchpoints between graduates and the ecosystem that will determine how successfully the programme’s output translates into careers, companies, and creative work that advances Pakistan’s position in the global gaming and animation industry. Those interested in joining the next training intake can apply for Batch 4 at cega.com.pk.
