Lincoln Corner at Liaquat Memorial Library Karachi is set to host a five day innovation camp designed to introduce young participants to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through a series of hands-on challenges. The program, running from July 27 to July 31, is being positioned as an immersive experience for young creators and thinkers who want to explore practical applications of STEM concepts rather than approaching the subjects through traditional classroom methods. Sessions will run daily from 12 in the afternoon to 4 in the evening at the Lincoln Corner premises within the library.
Over the course of five days, participants will work in teams to tackle engineering puzzles modeled on real world scenarios, experiment with emerging technology concepts, and attempt to turn their own ideas into working prototypes or projects. The camp has been structured around a mix of technical and creative activities, with organizers describing the format as action packed and centered on collaboration rather than individual work. Teams are expected to move through different challenges each day, building on skills as the week progresses.
Among the key components of the program are hands-on robotics and engineering design sessions, where participants will get direct exposure to building and testing mechanical or electronic systems. Interactive science experiments will also be part of the schedule, alongside activities focused on creative problem solving and team based challenges. Organizers have also included an introduction to future ready tech skills, aimed at giving participants early exposure to tools and concepts relevant to emerging industries, along with design and innovation focused activities intended to keep the sessions engaging and practical rather than purely instructional.
The camp is open to participants between 14 and 18 years of age and will be held at Lincoln Corner, located within the Liaquat Memorial Library in Karachi. Interested participants can register through the form available at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScBcyDMm7nVp8fSHSwVk257LHwIEG-t1Hy6z7Eq8d_ZvhbQ2Q/viewform.
The initiative reflects a continuing pattern of youth focused STEM programming being introduced through public library spaces and community learning centers in Karachi, aimed at giving teenagers structured, hands on access to technology and engineering concepts outside of formal school settings. With registration open ahead of the July dates, the camp is expected to draw interest from students looking for a structured introduction to robotics, science, and innovation based learning during their summer break.
