NIC Karachi Hosts Startup Pitch Storytelling Session With Nidhal Shaikh

NIC Karachi is hosting a curriculum session on Crafting Powerful Pitches: The Art of Storytelling on July 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM, featuring Nidhal Shaikh, Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of TouchGrass Agency, for a practical and skill-building exploration of how startup founders can transform their ideas into compelling narratives that capture investor attention, build trust with stakeholders, and leave the kind of lasting impression that moves a conversation forward rather than ending it politely. Registration is open at lnkd.in/dX2bGgsy and the session will be held at NIC Karachi.

The gap between a founder who has a genuinely strong business and one who can communicate that business effectively to investors, customers, and partners is one of the most consequential and most remediable gaps in the startup ecosystem. Technical capability, market insight, and product quality all matter enormously, but they only translate into funded rounds, paying customers, and strategic partnerships when the person behind the venture can tell its story in a way that makes the listener feel the problem, understand the solution, and believe in the team. Nidhal Shaikh’s session is designed to help founders develop exactly that capability, approaching pitch communication not as a presentation skill to be performed but as a form of corporate storytelling that can be learned, practised, and refined through the same kind of deliberate work that any other professional skill requires.

The session’s agenda covers the fundamentals of corporate communication for startups, which addresses how early-stage founders should think about their external communications as a whole rather than treating pitching as an isolated event disconnected from how the company presents itself across every other channel and context. The art of storytelling in pitches is covered as a craft with specific techniques rather than an innate talent, exploring how emotion, clarity, and confidence work together to create narratives that stick with audiences after the presentation has ended. Practical pitching formats, including the one-minute pitch, the MadLib pitch structure, and full investor-ready deck construction, give founders concrete and immediately applicable formats they can begin working with rather than leaving the session with principles they must translate independently into usable tools.

Nidhal Shaikh’s background as both a founder and a chief marketing officer at TouchGrass Agency gives her a practitioner’s dual perspective on pitch communication, one that understands the challenge from the inside as someone who has had to raise capital and build a client base and from the outside as a marketing professional who has spent significant time thinking about how narratives are constructed and how audiences respond to them. That combination is particularly valuable for a session aimed at founders who need both the strategic framework and the tactical toolkit to improve their pitching, rather than one or the other in isolation. NIC Karachi, supported by Ignite and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication alongside partners including Tech Destination Pakistan, LMKT, LuckyOne Mall, and Orbit Ventures, continues to build a curriculum that equips founders with the complete range of capabilities that converting a good idea into a funded and scaling company requires. Founders ready to sharpen their pitch and master the story behind their venture can register at lnkd.in/dX2bGgsy.
