NSTP Hosts Commonwealth Startup Fellowship Info Session on July 22

National Science and Technology Park is hosting an information session on July 22, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the NSTP Auditorium on the third floor, introducing early-stage founders and students interested in entrepreneurship to the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship, a six-month programme designed to support high-potential startups from Commonwealth countries through a structured combination of international training, sustained mentorship, and a culminating Capstone Week in London. The session will cover the fellowship’s overview, the application process, selection criteria, and an open question and answer segment, giving attendees a complete and practical understanding of what the programme involves and what they need to do to be considered.

The Commonwealth Startup Fellowship’s structure offers an unusually comprehensive international development experience for early-stage founders who are accepted into the programme. Training in Ghana provides participants with immersive exposure to an entrepreneurship and business environment that offers a different set of market perspectives, challenges, and opportunities from what founders building in Pakistan typically encounter, broadening the commercial and strategic frame of reference that shapes how they approach their own ventures.

Five months of mentorship running through the fellowship period gives participants sustained and developmental access to experienced practitioners rather than the episodic sessions that most short-format programmes provide, creating the conditions for the kind of ongoing relationship with a mentor that has a more durable effect on a founder’s thinking and decision-making than one-off conversations can produce. The Capstone Week in London brings the fellowship to a conclusion in one of the world’s most significant centres of finance, technology, and startup ecosystem activity, providing participants with both a showcase opportunity and direct exposure to the global networks that can accelerate a startup’s development beyond its home market.

NSTP’s decision to host the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship information session reflects the park’s consistent approach to creating touchpoints between its resident and broader startup community and the international fellowship, funding, and programme opportunities that are available to Pakistani founders but that many miss for lack of awareness or a structured introduction. For a park that already hosts more than 27 international companies and has built partnerships with technology parks and innovation ecosystems across Asia and the Gulf, facilitating access to a Commonwealth-wide fellowship programme is a natural extension of the international connectivity that NSTP has been building into its ecosystem development strategy. Startups and students interested in attending the July 22 information session at the NSTP Auditorium can RSVP by scanning the QR code in the event announcement.
