CEGA Karachi Runs Fully Funded Content Monetization Masterclass

Published on

CEGA Karachi is running a fully funded two-day masterclass today and tomorrow on turning creative work into a sustainable business, built around a premise that has become increasingly relevant to Pakistan’s growing creator economy, that content only becomes valuable once creators start treating it with the same rigor as any other commercial venture. Titled Content Monetization: Income Streams for Serious Creators, the masterclass runs from September 19 to 20, 11 AM to 5 PM, and brings together five practitioners spanning comedy content, brand strategy, PR, entrepreneurship education, and filmmaking rather than a single trainer covering the topic in isolation.

The lineup includes Majid Khan, known widely for viral comedy, satirical vlogs, and horror-comedy content generating millions of views, whose session draws on direct experience with brand integrations and creator-led campaigns. Hannan Umrani, a creative lead who has worked across campaigns for brands including Careem and KFC, brings a visual storytelling and digital marketing strategy perspective, while Ameeque Mallick, founder of CommUnityX, focuses on PR, branding, and the kind of strategic collaborations that connect creators with brands and communities looking to build campaigns around them.

Danial Shaikh, an entrepreneurship educator and creative strategist behind MadForFilms and CEGA’s creative training initiatives, rounds out the practical frameworks side of the programme, having trained and mentored creatives across multiple countries on commercializing their craft. Zainab Nasir, an award-winning filmmaker and Sony Ambassador who founded Mad For Films, adds a production and narrative lens with a portfolio spanning more than nine web series and short films alongside over 60 shows produced across narrative, documentary, and digital formats. That spread of expertise, from viral content creation to brand PR to formal production experience, reflects an attempt to cover the full range of paths creators actually take toward monetization rather than assuming a single formula applies across content categories.

The masterclass is powered by Sony and organized by MadForFilms, with only ten slots remaining and the programme structured as fully funded, removing cost as a barrier for creators who might otherwise be priced out of formal training in an industry where most skill development still happens informally. Held at CEGA Karachi, the session adds to the center’s expanding role as a hub for Pakistan’s gaming, animation, and now broader creative and content industries, treating the country’s fast-growing pool of independent creators as a category worth structured investment rather than a side interest existing outside the formal startup and innovation ecosystem.
