NIC Karachi will host a Primary Track curriculum session titled Setting KPIs and OKRs for Growth, featuring Maha Shahzad, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Buscaro. The session is built around the idea that measurement drives improvement, and is designed to help founders build growth strategies grounded in meaningful, well defined metrics rather than relying on instinct or loosely tracked progress indicators.
The session will help participants understand how to define clear objectives, establish measurable key performance indicators, and align performance metrics with long term business growth, giving founders a structured framework for thinking about how their day to day operational choices connect to broader company goals. This distinction between activity and actual progress toward strategic objectives is one many early stage founders struggle to formalise, making structured guidance on the topic particularly relevant for startups still shaping their internal measurement systems.
Drawing on her own entrepreneurial experience running Buscaro, Shahzad will guide participants through developing a practical KPI dashboard, identifying which metrics matter most for their specific business, and refining those KPIs to ensure they genuinely support strategic goals rather than simply generating data for its own sake. The session’s focus on practical dashboard development suggests attendees will leave with a working framework they can apply directly to their own ventures rather than only conceptual guidance on why KPIs and OKRs matter.
The session is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 3 PM at NIC Karachi, forming part of the incubation centre’s Primary Track curriculum aimed at founders working through core areas of business development. NIC Karachi has continued to bring in practising founders and operators to lead these curriculum sessions, giving participants access to guidance grounded in direct experience running a company rather than purely theoretical instruction.
The session is supported by NIC Karachi’s established network of partners, including Tech Destination Pakistan, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ignite National Technology Fund, LMKT, LuckyOne Mall and Orbit Ventures, consistent with the institutional backing behind the incubation centre’s regular programming.
