Elevate Launches Entrepreneurship Track First Session

Published on

Elevate officially launched its Entrepreneurship Track with a first session focused on customer development and market research, supported by S&P Global. The session gave participants a grounding in how entrepreneurs can understand their customers, identify market opportunities and build products and businesses with clear purpose, positioning the topic as a foundational starting point before moving into more advanced areas of the entrepreneurship track in later sessions.

Beginning the track with customer development and market research reflects a deliberate sequencing choice, prioritising the ability to understand who a product is for and why before addressing later stage concerns like product development, funding or scaling. This ordering aligns with established startup methodology that treats deep customer understanding as a prerequisite for building something people will actually want, rather than starting from a product idea and working backward to find a market.

The session’s focus on identifying opportunities alongside customer understanding suggests the programming is designed to help participants think critically about where genuine gaps exist in the market, rather than simply validating an idea they may already be attached to. This kind of structured, research first approach to entrepreneurship education is intended to reduce the risk of participants building solutions in search of a problem, a common pitfall for early stage founders working without formal guidance.

S&P Global’s continued involvement with Elevate, following its earlier session featuring mentors from across the company’s data, product and engineering functions, points to an ongoing relationship between the two organisations centred on professional and entrepreneurial development. Bringing a large global data and analytics company into direct engagement with an entrepreneurship focused track gives participants access to perspectives shaped by corporate experience alongside the more startup specific guidance typically associated with entrepreneurship programming.

With the Entrepreneurship Track now officially underway, Elevate’s programming is expected to continue building on this first session’s foundation in customer development and market research, moving participants progressively through the practical stages involved in developing and validating a business idea. The launch of this track adds to Elevate’s broader portfolio of professional and entrepreneurial development programming aimed at Pakistan’s youth.
