OPEN Lahore recently hosted Tariq Khan, President of OPEN Global, for a meet and greet bringing together charter members, the leadership team, community members, entrepreneurs, and friends of OPEN. The gathering gave attendees a direct opportunity to engage with OPEN’s global leadership, strengthening connections across the wider organisation’s international network.
The gathering served as an opportunity to exchange perspectives on entrepreneurship, community building, and the opportunities that come from being part of a global network, bringing together members and leaders from across the broader OPEN ecosystem. This kind of direct engagement between local chapter members and global leadership reflects the organisational structure OPEN has built across its various city chapters worldwide, allowing local entrepreneurs to connect with the wider international network the organisation represents.
The evening was hosted by Zeshan Qureshi and Imran Zahid from Habib Rafiq Engineering, who organised and graciously hosted the gathering, giving the event a venue and organisational backbone tied to an established Lahore based engineering firm. Their involvement points to the kind of corporate and business community support that continues to underpin OPEN Lahore’s events and broader community activities.
The gathering drew attendance from Ben Warrington, Usman Asif, founding member Almas Hyder, alongside OPEN’s charter and executive members and a range of other individuals connected to the Lahore entrepreneurship community. This turnout reflects a broad cross section of OPEN Lahore’s membership base, spanning founding members through more recently joined participants, giving the meet and greet a mix of longstanding institutional knowledge and newer community energy.
OPEN Lahore’s continued hosting of events connecting local members with OPEN Global’s leadership adds to a broader pattern of engagement the organisation has pursued in recent weeks, following similar visits by Khan and other OPEN Global representatives to institutions such as NUST and Sybrid in Islamabad. The organisation described looking forward to further opportunities to bring its community together and strengthen connections within OPEN Global, suggesting continued momentum behind this kind of direct engagement between OPEN’s various city chapters and its international leadership.
