NIC Karachi and Orbit Ventures have launched their joint Acceleration Program, positioning it as Pakistan’s most powerful founder first acceleration initiative, built specifically to help founders scale their impact and move faster through structured support and funding. The programme brings together NIC Karachi’s incubation infrastructure with Orbit Ventures’ investment and mentorship network, giving participating founders access to resources spanning both local institutional backing and international investment expertise.
At the core of the programme is the Founder Grant, offering up to PKR 5 million to help accelerate a startup’s growth, giving selected founders direct capital to support their scaling efforts without the immediate pressure of equity dilution associated with conventional investment rounds. This grant component positions the programme as a meaningful funding source for founders who have moved beyond the earliest stages of their venture and are looking to scale more aggressively.
The programme is powered by Orbit Startups, an organisation associated with one of Asia’s prominent investors known for a global portfolio and a track record of successful exits, bringing international, founder first investment thinking directly into Pakistan’s startup ecosystem. This connection gives participating founders exposure to investment approaches and standards shaped by broader regional and international markets, rather than purely domestic funding perspectives.
Participants in the programme will also gain access to a Global BrainTrust, a network of international mentors, trainers, and startup experts intended to guide founders toward stronger execution and strategic decision making. This mentorship component adds a structured guidance layer alongside the direct financial support offered through the Founder Grant, giving founders both capital and expertise as they work to scale their ventures.
The programme is backed by the Ministry of IT and Telecom and Ignite National Technology Fund, reflecting continued government support aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s broader startup ecosystem. The collaboration was also acknowledged by Tech Destination Pakistan, LMKT, and LuckyOne Mall, reflecting the institutional network tied to NIC Karachi’s ongoing programming. Founders interested in applying for the Acceleration Program can do so through the link shared as part of the announcement at https://lnkd.in/dHAWt2Zx, with the programme representing a notable expansion of NIC Karachi’s funding and mentorship offerings through its partnership with Orbit Ventures.
